Estate agents are standing up to Rightmove’s unfair fees.
Thousands of UK estate agents are being charged excessive fees by Rightmove to list properties on its online property portal. New legal action led by Jeremy Newman will seek to recover estate agents’ overpaid fees and rebalance their relationship with Rightmove.
Rightmove is unavoidable
and unaccountable.
Rightmove helps estate agents to connect with renters and buyers. Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of excessively high fees.
Its dominance of the property market means these unfair fees are almost unavoidable, allowing Rightmove to generate around a 70% profit margin – the highest of any FTSE 100 company.
Estate agents have already aired their grievances, signing petitions and calling for a regulatory investigation into Rightmove’s practices.
Legal action against Rightmove.
Rightmove is now facing legal action led by Jeremy Newman, a former panel member at the Competition and Markets Authority.
Jeremy is representing national and local estate agents alike in a case that is fully funded by Innsworth Capital Limited and supported by leading lawyers and experts, including Scott+Scott UK LLP.
